According to the Natural Justice System, identifying a person based on their gender is “gender discrimination”, which you can find in National and international preambles of the various acts.
Discrimination against men is seen to a great extent in the law, the law allows trial only on the basis of the woman’s complaint, but it is rarely accepted if a man accuses a woman.
Ignorance of men’s position in the law, which is again a gender discrimination. It seems that our law makers are trying to remove gender discrimination by discriminating against men.
“These are our lawmakers whose conservative approach has limited the capacity of women, who have not made provisions for women to work and earn in family disputes, forcing them to depend on the income of their separated husbands.”
It is Gender stereotype views of lawmakers only limit the potential of women, although they are competing with men at every level in the society, but our laws consider women dependent on men and do not want to give opportunities to women. Again the provisions in the law are largely protecting the women’s point of view in the matter of right to maintenance, and the law makers have not made any provision to provide jobs to such needy women but their focus is only on maintenance to such women from the husband’s income because our lawmakers want women to be dependent.
“According to natural justice, everyone is equal before law and the provisions have been enshrined in our great constitution but the stereotype views of lawmakers are violating the principle as well as the constitutional guarantees. Due to which men are being constantly made victim by the law and family is struggling to remain intact as a unit.”
Based on various researches from the West, for “gender equality”, Indian men have lost their place in law, which has affected our Great Indian Family traditions (GIFT) to a great extent. When we talk about “gender-related murder”, there is no provision in the system to protect the lives of men from women, while there are specific provisions in the Indian Penal Court to protect the lives of women.
Similarly, there is no legal status for men in case of domestic violence whereas there is a specific act to protect women from violence. And ignoring the human rights of men, many other provisions have been made to ensure the rights of women, like various acts have been enacted, various other policies have been made.
Men’s rights activists (MRAs) constant efforts to highlight the crisis of masculinity, the #MenTooMovement movement somehow caught the attention of lawmakers and discussion was also started for the protection of men and #JusticeForAll then they forgot it.
These are the lawmakers whose stereotype views that prevent women from working and earning and also from becoming self-dependent; and discrimination in the laws has almost destroyed the GIFT. Due to the growing trend of false accusation of men in family disputes, it seems that law has become a tool which is used against men and family tradition. Such Gender discrimination even destroying the essence of the Great Indian Family Tradition (GIFT).
